Path Head Watermill

Built around 1730 to feed packhorses hauling lead down the valley, Path Head Watermill was nearly lost to neglect before community volunteers brought it back from the brink. Today, its salvaged waterwheel once again powers working workshop machinery inside the restored stone mill. This walk through a wooded Blaydon dell explores local brickmaking heritage, ingenious historic engineering, and an extraordinary story of rescue.
